Vicar Tony is a fourth year seminary student coming to St. Paul from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley CA, where he is studying to become an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Vicar Tony’s time at St. Paul spans eleven months from September 2013 to August 2014. During this year at St. Paul he will be introduced to the wide array of tasks that accompany ministry in a congregational setting. He will have the opportunity to do many of the same tasks as the pastoral staff except for baptism, marriages, and presiding over communion.
Prior to starting his studies at the seminary in Berkeley Vicar Tony received a Bachelors of Art in Human Services from Western Washington University, if you are unsure about what Human Services is feel free to ask the Vicar he loves to talk about it! Many members of Vicar Tony’s family call the Seattle area home and so he gets a chance to visit often and always enjoys the rain and a good cup of coffee while there.
Vicar Tony’s hobbies include photography, reading, keeping up on current events, walking, traveling, socializing with friends, and serving the church in different leadership roles. The vicar also greatly enjoys being an uncle to his first niece Elizabeth Rose who is a year and half old.
